Developing Musical Skill by Michael Griffin

It’s a simple connection but a powerful one. The internal drive required to pursue an  activity relies heavily on the greatest of all motivations – making progress. For musical  progress, nothing is as important as the quality and the quantity of practice time.

This engaging presentation will focus on concepts including repetition, chunking, slow  practice, the quantity of experts and of course, the core importance of cultivating a  growth mindset.

We are delighted and privileged to welcome Michael Griffin, an educator, speaker,  author, conductor and pianist. Michael is an inspiring speaker who has given talks to  500 schools and conferences in over 30 countries. He has consulted for Cambridge  University Press and is the author of several books, Learning Strategies for Musical  Success receiving universal acclaim.

This must-see presentation is for students in Year 5 and above, their parents and  teachers, and for parents who are supporting children right from the very beginning!
