The Border Youth Choir is an exciting vocal ensemble for primary and secondary school singers aged 9 years and over. In addition to experiencing the joy of singing together and learning a diverse range of repertoire, weekly rehearsals include games and activities which will develop aural skills, singing technique and basic music theory in a social and positive environment. The aim for the choir is to provide musical training and performance opportunities for young musicians in the Border region and encourage their love and appreciation for music.

Percussion Ensemble - Thursdays 4:30pm
Percussion Ensemble is a group for musicians of all ages and abilities. Group members are encouraged to explore a range of percussion instruments while learning the fundamentals of music-making. A normal week includes learning percussion ensemble repertoire, practising rhythm and ensemble skills, and a chance to try new instruments. Students are not required to have previous experience with drums or percussion.
String ensemble - Wednesdays 4:00-4:45pm
Murray Conservatoriums Violin ensemble is a learning and performing ensemble suitable for beginner to intermediate violinists. Repertoire ranges from Classical to Celtic with students learning together in a fun ensemble. Enjoy learning about your instrument and its role in the ensemble environment with other enthusiastic musicians. This is an ensemble for early stage Violin students of all ages.
Through membership of an ensemble, students develop self-discipline, improved self-esteem, commitment and team spirit.
