Big Band (audition only): Mondays 7:30pm -9pm (starting Feb 26)
The Murray Conservatorium Big Band is an energetic ensemble with repertoire ranging from Glenn Miller to Michael Jackson and Lady Gaga. Led by Tony Smith, no repertoire is off limits.
Regular performances include everything from flash mobs to corporate events and formal concerts with a focus on working towards semi-professional level performance skills in a team environment.
(infinite) worlds - Wednesdays 7:30pm
(infinite) worlds is an ensemble specialising in the performance of music from film and videogames. We explore the many and varied soundworlds created by contemporary composers to accompany our adventures in the cinema or during the next epic gaming session!
Mezzo Strings - Wednesdays 6:00pm
Mezzo Strings is an intermediate level teaching and performing orchestra for students of violin, viola, cello and double bass.
It's focus is to further develop the ensemble skills first learned in beginner ensembles.
Saxophonics - Wednesdays 5:30pm
A saxophone ensemble catering for baritone to soprano, aiming to play a wide variety of music from classical to jazz and more.

The group will be playing a range of styles from classical to jazz and arrangements of contemporary popular music and rock as well as arrangements of ensemble music written for other instruments.
A goal will be to develop students' sight reading and improvisational skills. There will also be opportunities for composers to have their music performed. A focus will be rehearsing for performances in the local community.
