A former student of the Murray Conservatorium in the 2000’s, Sam went on to study a Bachelor of Music Performance (BMUS) at Monash University, including an honours, which specialised in contemporary music styles, jazz, and improvisation on the electric guitar. While studying in Melbourne, Sam spent almost a decade working as a session guitarist, playing alongside prominent upcoming artists such as Rory Mckenna, Jace Excell, & 2008 Australia’s Got Talent runner-up Jourdain.
Holding a TAE, Sam has over a decade of experience working as a guitar tutor, leading contemporary ensembles ranging through styles such as Pop/Rock/Jazz/Funk/Blues and various sub-genres.
Sam rejoined the Conservatorium in 2024 as the Partnerships Liaison Manager.
